Show users

Show users are the people using Nexus during the event. They may be Event Control loggers, map viewers, document viewers, supervisors, or anyone who needs the latest operational picture without changing setup.

The live pages sit under the Show area:

  • Event Control for logs, comments, attachments, statuses, and live updates.
  • Mapping for site maps, layers, log locations, and What3Words lookup where configured.
  • Documents for shared event files.
  • Export for the Event Control XLSX handover.
note

You only see the tools your role can use for the selected event. If a button is missing, it usually means access or module enablement has not been set up for your account.

What good use looks like

Use Nexus as the live record, not as a private notebook. Start logs early, keep titles short, add comments when the story changes, and close logs when the issue is done. A good log should help the next person understand what happened without needing the radio call that created it.

Why this helps a show

  • The control room gets one numbered log stack instead of disconnected spreadsheets and messages.
  • Field teams can be tied to the same map and document set.
  • Supervisors can search and export the record without asking the logger to stop working.
  • After the show, audit and export give the team something usable for review.
